Teaser Tuesday: THE IRON KING

I just started The Iron King last night and am slowly making progress through it!
Here's my teaser from The Iron King by Julie Kagawa:

"A scream welled in my throat, but I swallowed it down. This...girl?...had just saved my life, even if it meant she wanted to eat me herself. It would be rude if I just shrieked in her face, plus any sudden movements might spark a feeding frenzy."

Hahaha, I love Meghan Chase! She's a little...um...lacking in the common sense department, but I still like her :) And her narrative voice is pretty funny, too!
