New Rating System

Ever feel like you're splitting hairs over what to rate a book? My rating system was a little too specific, and it's been in need of reform for awhile. I decided to go with a bit of a teacher theme, since that's going to be my career, and so here are my new ratings, as if the books/authors I review are students:

Previously 5-4.5 stars
Means Amazing/Extremely Good-Highly Recommended; hardly any critiques

Previously 4 stars
Means Very Nice - Definitely Recommended; a few critiques & minor issues

Between 4-3.5 stars
Means Pretty Good, Overall Enjoyable - Recommended; moderate critiques/issues

Previously 3 stars
Means Just okay, but not necessarily Recommended; heavy critiques/issues

Between 2.5-3 stars
Means Did not like, and would Not Recommend; heavy critiques/issues

Previously 1-2.5 stars
Means I Really Didn't Like It!

And for those few extra-irksome novels, I bring in savvy Savonarola to do a little epileptic fit. But that doesn't happen much.

So maybe reviewing will be a little clearer, now. Thank you for visiting Imagination in Focus! :)

12 shout-outs!:
