If asked "what would you recommend?," I would answer...

ALL
OF
THESE
BOOKS.

Over this past year, I've reviewed approximately 50 books on this blog (I hope to double that in 2011). Out of those 50 books, 16 received A+ grades, which is the highest rating I can give. Which is the best way I can say to you "READ THESE - PLEASE!"
So here they are - my favorite reads of the year:

The Dark Divine
Eyes Like Stars
The Great Tree of Avalon (Whole Trilogy)
The Hourglass Door
The Hunger Games
Nevermore
Once Upon a Marigold
Paranormalcy
River Secrets

(note: all the "Books of Bayern" would be A+ grades, but the first two books were read in 2009)
Sabriel
Troll Fell
Tyger Tyger
Uglies
Wildwood Dancing
Wondrous Strange

Okay, guys. This list is it! These are the best books I've read all year. Are any of these books on your "favorite" list?

8 shout-outs!:

So many great books here! Your review of The Dark Divine was actually what motivated me to read it in the first place. It lived up to the hype :) I hope your new year is full of even more A+ reads!!

I've read some of these but there's a couple I'll have to check out.

I wholeheartedly second 'Sabriel.' Those books were read twenty or thirty times when I was about twelve, and more since!

Ive only read Uglies and The Hunger Games, but I loved them both.
I definitely need to read Nevermore and Paranormalcy soon, but i dont think either has been released in Australia yet... However, I do have Sabriel on my shelf, and need to read that soon as well.

I read The Hunger Games in 2008 or it would have made my list this year. I think I read Wildwood Dancing in 2009 (or 2008) but I love Juliet Marillier's books. Still haven't had time to read Seer of Sevenwaters :(

Nevermore is one of my "5 star" reads on Goodreads this year. My favorite book read in 2010 is Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. I need to go work on my post of favorites. Great list!
